Quiksilver's Leo Fioravanti (17.25) has defeated Mikey Wright (15.05) in the Blue ribbon U/16 event that has just wrapped up at Lennox Head.
Leo has been staying with Mikey but had to put their friendship aside and dual it out in the testing 2-3ft windy conditions. They were both the standouts of the event and well deserved result for the both of them.
Quiksilver had the Lennox Local, Zac Wightman in the final of the U/14's who struggled to find a wave to peel off for him and had to settle for 4th place. Zac nailed the best air of the event in his quarter final and was happy to mix up some power surfing with some spins and aerials.
Ethan Ewing did a come from behind win posting the contests biggest score of the event, 9.90 to take the win
Quiksilver dominated the U/12 division with Kehu Butler(NZ) winning over Dextar Muskens. We also had Billy Harrison end up equal 5th and can happily say we have 3 of the best groms coming through this division.
There was only one division , U/16 for the girls and Alyssa Lock finished equal 5th against girls 4-5 years older than her.
